A globally respected beauty and lifestyle brand in the Spa, Wellness, and Hospitality sector is expanding its world-class team. We are seeking an experienced and heart-led Yoga Instructor & Holistic Spa Practitioner to join us at a luxury 5-star resort in East Africa.

The Role

As a Yoga Instructor & Holistic Spa Practitioner, you will lead a variety of yoga styles, meditations, and breathwork classes, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the spa and assisting the Holistic Spa Manager with wellness programs, retreats, and guest experiences.

You will play a key role in co-creating a nurturing, high-vibrational space that merges physical well-being with emotional and energetic healing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic group and private yoga classes for all levels, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, and Power Yoga
• Facilitate guided meditations, mindfulness sessions, pranayama, sound healing, and spirit bowl experiences
• Host workshops and retreats covering wellness, self-development, stress relief, and energy balancing
• Educate guests on holistic healing techniques, the chakra system, and the benefits of mindful living
• Assist the Holistic Spa Manager in the development and delivery of seasonal wellness programs and bespoke guest retreats
• Support spa reception duties, guest bookings, and general administration during quieter operational periods
• Contribute to spa product education by sharing knowledge of natural skincare ingredients and their healing benefits
• Offer lifestyle guidance and wellness consultations, promoting balance, self-care, and intentional living
• Participate in wellness events and collaborate on in-house talks or community activities
• Ensure the spa operates smoothly by assisting with opening and closing procedures, guest feedback, and maintaining cleanliness and calmness in all spaces
• Support with stock management, reporting, and record-keeping under the guidance of the Spa Manager

Qualifications & Experience

• Yoga certification (RYT 200 minimum) – multi-disciplinary training highly preferred. Any additional RYT qualifications will be viewed highly and appreciated.
• CPR and First Aid certification
• At least 2 years’ experience teaching yoga and holistic wellness in a hospitality, retreat, or spa environment
• Proficiency in multiple yoga styles and healing modalities such as meditation, sound healing, reiki, Ayurveda, or breathwork
• Knowledge of natural skincare, wellness rituals, and plant-based or indigenous ingredients is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to connect authentically with diverse guests
• Business acumen, professionalism, and experience working in a 5-star hospitality or spa setting
• Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and a team player mentality
• Must be single and without dependants as the resort is not close to facilities for childcare for instance.
• Must be able to speak a high level of English in order to communicate fluently and easily with your clients and with the rest of the staff at the hotel and spa. Any additional languages will be viewed highly.
• Preference will be given to candidates that can start immediately or within 1 month.
• Must be happy to stay in East Africa for 6 months at minimum.
